facing a three-week suspension from the House of Lords for making a derogatory comment, calling British-Asian peer Lord Dholakia “Lord Poppadom.” This occurred during a trip to Rwanda with the Joint Committee on Human Rights. Additionally, she is accused of touching the hair of a Black MP, which caused distress. The House of Lords’ Conduct Committee has recommended the suspension and mandatory behavior training.
