Tyson Fury told exactly what to do to rescue Anthony Joshua super-fight

Tyson Fury has laid out clear conditions to reignite the long-anticipated super-fight with Anthony Joshua, emphasizing a desire to stage the bout for free at Wembley Stadium. In a video posted on his Instagram, Fury stated:

“Right, this is a reconfirmation about what I’ve said about fighting Anthony Joshua for f**k all in England. That’s how the fight happens—I’ll sign the contract today. The fight’s got to be for free. Free to air television, I want all tickets to go for free.”

Fury’s proposition stems from a sentiment of giving back to the fans amidst economic hardships, criticizing the monetization of the sport and expressing a desire to make the fight accessible to all. He emphasized that both he and Joshua have earned substantial sums and that this bout should be a gesture to the public.

Promoter Eddie Hearn has shown optimism about the fight’s feasibility, noting that both fighters are in similar career positions, having suffered defeats and no longer holding championship titles. He mentioned that initiating the fight could be as simple as a direct message between the fighters.

Additionally, Hearn has reserved Wembley Stadium for a potential summer fight between Fury and Joshua, indicating serious intent to make the bout happen. However, the fight’s occurrence is uncertain and depends on Fury’s decision.

Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, has also hinted at the possibility of Fury returning for a “generational” fight against Joshua, a bout fans have long desired but has yet to materialize due to various setbacks.

While no formal discussions have taken place, the mutual interest and public declarations suggest that the long-awaited clash between Fury and Joshua could materialize, provided both camps align on the terms and logistics.
